We have had a re-brand!
We offer a deluxe dog walking service, that offers structured adventure dog walks, on cross country routes, packed full of scent and retrieval games, agility work, water play and basic training.
We are based in Silverdale, on the border of Lancashire and Cumbria, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, surrounded by woods, fields and beaches - a wonderful place for any dog walking ! We do, however, also cover a wide range of other areas, and offer dog walking services in Milnthorpe, Levens, Kirkby Lonsdale, Casterton, Cowan Bridge, Whittington, Arkhome, Hornby, Caton, Hest Bank, Bolton-Le-Sands, Carnforth and Warton.
We are a dog walking service that focuses on making sure that all of your dogs are made happy on a daily basis and will do our utmost to ensure that all of their many, varied and individual needs are met at all times. We want to give you the peace of mind that comes with knowing that when you cannot be there, for whatever reason, be it work, other family commitments or a well earned holiday, your dog is well looked after and properly cared for in your absence.
We have accredited certificates in Pet Sitting and Dog Walking, Pet First Aid, Dog Behaviour and Training, Care of the Senior Pet, and Animal Psychology. We are fully insured and have a licence to home board from Lancaster City Council. This means that our premises have been inspected and found to be of a high standard, and that the Council are happy with the level of care that we provide to all dogs in our home. Every member of the business is checked and cleared with the Criminal Record Bureau, so that you can rest assured your dogs, your home, your possessions and your keys are safe in our care.
We provide a variety of pet services - Dog Walking, Pop in Services for Small Animals (cats, rabbits, exotic pets etc.) and Dog Home Boarding. However, we only board dogs that we walk on a regular basis, a minimum of once a week. This is so that we have already formed a relationship with each dog that we board prior to their stay, making them settle much more easily into our home and ensuring a happier stay for all concerned.
Dogs are either walked in groups,to a maximum of four dogs, for a full hour, for forty five minutes or for thirty minutes, depending upon age and breed. All fitness levels are catered for - the more active and adventurous your dog, the more challenging the route! The area of North Lancashire and South Cumbria provides beautiful and stimulating walks that we will make the most of, whenever we can, and our walks will include woods, fields, hills, rivers and beaches wherever possible - plenty of places to explore and have fun! We also incorporate scent and retrieval games, agiity work and basic training into all of our adventure walks, so that we ensure all dogs respond to our commands, and are kept safe at all times.
We will send you a picture of your dog on the walk so that you can see for yourself what a great time they are having - ideal if you are on holiday and missing your beloved pet, or even if you are just at work and wondering what they are up to.
We will also send regular videos, and provide monthly photo collages so that you get even more of an insight into your dogs' adventures. We also produce quarterly newsletters, packed full of training and first aid tips, recipes for healthy treats, ideas for walks and games you can play with your dog.
WE OFFER A PERSONALISED, PREMIUM SERVICE - WE OFFER STRUCTURED ADVENTURE WALKS, PACKED FULL OF GAMES, AGILITY WORK AND BASIC TRAINING. WE DO NOT DO ORDINARY WALKS AROUND THE BLOCK ON UNIMAGINATIVE ROUTES. NOR WE DO NOT RENT OUT A FIELD IN WHICH DOGS CAN RUN AROUND IN A PACK ( WHICH OF COURSE DOES NOT SUIT ALL DOGS) AND WE DO NOT TAKE OUT SIX TO EIGHT DOGS AT A TIME ON A LEAD AS SO MANY DOG WALKERS DO!
WE OFFER SMALL GROUP WALKS (MAXIMUM FOUR BUT MORE OFTEN THREE) WITH AN ATTENTION TO DETAIL, AND LOVING CARE FOR ALL DOGS, WITH THEIR OWN UNIQUE NEEDS MET AT ALL TIMES.
POP IN SERVICES FOR SMALL ANIMALS/PUPPY VISITS
We can visit your home and check on your small animals - cats, rabbits, birds etc. whilst you are away. We will ensure that they are fed and have fresh water, and will administer medication if required. We will clean out your pets hutch, pen, cage or litter tray.
We will also pick up your post and ensure nothing has been left protruding from your letter box, turn lights on and off and draw/undraw the curtains in order to help disguise the fact that the house is empty. We will put your bins out if you ask us to and even water your plants!
We can also offer puppy visits whilst you are at work or out for the day - this visit doesn't include a walk, as your puppy will be unable to go outside until his or her vaccinations are complete, but we will check that your puppy is managing alone in the house, and will give lots of cuddles, fuss and play time so that he or she settles down to await your return. We will clean up any little accidents that may have occurred, and will feed your puppy (if you would like us to) and ensure they have fresh water.
DOG HOME BOARDING
We have obtained a licence from Lancaster City Council to provide dog home boarding. This means that we have been inspected by the Council and found to have the necessary standards in place, as regards health and safety, risk assessment, fire safety and evacuation, hygiene, and the required checks on vaccination, veterinary care, emergency contacts, insurance and DBS checks and clearance. We also have certificates in Pet First Aid, Nutrition and Health checks, so that we can adequately cope with emergency situations as they arise.
All dogs will be treated as part of our family whilst they are staying with us, and given a real home from home experience. They will be given lots of love and attention, play time in the garden, and regular walks throughout the day, depending upon their individual requirements, age and fitness levels. They will have company at all times, be part of meal times and family activities, and taken on outings at the weekends to a variety of places.
